{"id":1583,"date":"2023-04-14T19:13:59","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T19:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/otidefense.com\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=1583"},"modified":"2023-04-14T19:14:39","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T19:14:39","slug":"software-integration-engineer-sie-level-3-3","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/otidefense.com\/index.php\/OTI_Careers_Details\/software-integration-engineer-sie-level-3-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Software Integration Engineer (SIE) Level 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong>: Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS\/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Level III Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS\/GOTS software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate documentation for the full software stack.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update software for sustainment support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SIE-3 Qualifications<\/strong>: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS\/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OR<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OR<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master&#8217;s Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years&#8217; experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Software Integration Engineer shall develop software Tools and Services in a PaaS Linux environment supporting an \u2018on-prem\u2019 cloud offering with open source software using Kubernetes, Docker, Rook and other cutting edge software. Expertise and desire to work in a containerized landlord\/tenant environment is essential.
